Barbour Consult

Our focus is working with our clients on the Governance, Compliance and Risk (GCR) agenda.

Health and Safety is integral to business success and it is important that board members show leadership in this area. An organisation will never be able to achieve the highest standards of health and safety management without the active involvement of directors. For all organisations it is a significant part of their corporate governance.

Health and safety law places duties on organisations and employers, and directors can be personally liable when these duties are breached: members of the board have both collective and individual responsibility for health and safety. By using Barbour EHS Consulting Services you will help your organisation find the best ways to lead and promote health and safety, and therefore meet its legal obligations.

What is Barbour EHS Consult?

An independent and objective process covering four key areas designed to measure and promote continuous improvement in a cost-effective way.

How is it different?

Barbour EHS Consult is not just a Safety Management Review (SMR), it is about ensuring compliance and fostering a positive safety culture, as well as cost analysis. All four elements of Barbour Consult are connected and benefit from an integrated approach.

Barbour EHS Consult encourages continuous improvement as results feedback into the Safety Management System, helping to expose areas of waste, duplication and non-value added activites and can provide an opportunity for rationalisation.

Our consultants deliver an independent assessment and have broad commercial experience. They are skilled in helping organisations achieve business objectives, with a minimum of 15 years experience in a commercial environment and are CMIOSH, IRCA qualified.
