IOSH has partnered with Barbour EHS to deliver comprehensive online intelligence to its worldwide membership of health and safety professionals.
IOSH, the chartered body for health and safety professionals has today signed an agreement with health and safety services provider Barbour EHS (part of United Business Media) which will see the Barbour EHS become the approved information service partner of IOSH.
This partnership will allow IOSH members to benefit exclusively from complimentary access to a package of information resources and tools on a quarterly basis. Suitably experienced IOSH members will also be given the opportunity to develop an additional income stream through contributing content to Barbour’s ever expanding library of documents and resources. Additionally, IOSH members will benefit from a profit-sharing agreement between IOSH and Barbour EHS that will enable IOSH to further invest in services for its membership.
Stephen Baker, Director at Barbour EHS commented: “Growing economic and CSR demands and the ever increasing complexities involved in effective risk management mean that the multi-faceted role of the health and safety professional continues to grow. Against this backdrop, it is vital that health and safety professionals have access to relevant and up to date information and resources to enable informed decision making. We are delighted to partner with IOSH and confident that the Barbour online information service will continue to support health and safety professionals worldwide in carrying out their roles and obligations effectively.“
Chief Executive Rob Strange OBE explained how the decision to create this partnership was made: “We would only associate the IOSH name with a service if we are convinced it reflects the high standards we aspire to at IOSH; having carefully reviewed the Barbour EHS information service we have every confidence in recommending it to our members.
“As the world’s biggest professional health & safety organisation, we are constantly looking for new ways in which to add value to our 39,000 members, as well as identify new revenue opportunities to allow us to continually invest in enhancing member benefits. This new partnership we have with Barbour EHS helps us to achieve both of these member focused aims.”
